The event “MALIA, Il Salotto Musicale dell'800” is conceived as a plunge into the past, recreating the typical atmosphere of the bourgeois and aristocratic salons of the 19th century.
The intent is to offer the audience an immersive experience, where musical notes are intertwined with the reading of poems and literary excerpts, evoking emotions ranging from passion to sadness, from gaiety to hilarity. Chamber arias and salon romances by Francesco Paolo Tosti, a famous Italian composer, will alternate with waltzes and Neapolitan author's songs, creating a striking sound mosaic.
The artists involved in this performance are of the highest caliber: Bruna Tredicine, Loretta Venditti and Costanza Fontana sopranos, Tiziana Pizzi, Eva Maria Ruggieri and Federica Paganini contraltos, Massimo Simeoli baritone, and Antonio Sapio tenor, will take turns as guests in the salon to give voice to the melodies, while Emilia Nigro and Alberto Vitolo on violin and Mirco Roverelli on piano will accompany the performances, accompanied by valuable historical notes by Claudia Simonetti, hostess.
