Le Parc: Teatro dell'Opera di Roma
About the Event
Make the most of this rare opportunity to see an early work of one of the most acclaimed choreographers of recent decades. Angelin Preljocaj's first work for the Ballet de l'Opéra national de Paris explores the world of courtship and love in pre‐Revolutionary France, set to some of Mozart's most famous piano concertos.
Though rooted in classical ballet, Preljocaj's vocabulary is inescapably contemporary. Restaged in this production for the Teatro alla Scala Milan by the choreographer's long‐standing assistant, Noémie Perlov, and Laurent Hilaire, one of the work's original stars, the work's heritage continues to hold sway, as Eleonora Abbagnato, an Étoile of the Paris company, dances the female lead.
Premiere is on May 5th, 2016.
