About the Event
St Mary le Strand, known as the 'Jewel' of the Strand, welcomes the third Strand International Piano Series following its celebrated debut during the 2022‐23 season.
This year's series is themed around Debussy's Preludes. Written between 1909 and 1913, these works highlight Debussy's pioneering approach to piano composition, showcasing his skill with impressionistic elements. The two volumes of preludes, each containing twelve pieces, underline Debussy's talent in creating vivid pictures, moods, and atmospheres through music.

British pianist Ashley Fripp has enjoyed an extensive career as a recitalist, concerto soloist, and chamber musician across Europe, Asia, North America, Africa, and Australia, gracing many of the world's most prestigious venues.
