Experience an enchanting opera concert in Catania’s historic Chiesa della Badia di Sant’Agata. The Catania Chamber Orchestra, renowned for its dedication to Italian classical and lyrical heritage, consists of elite musicians trained at esteemed Sicilian conservatories and young talents from Catania lauded in prominent national and international operatic and symphonic competitions. This year, the 2025 Musical Season features a captivating series of orchestral and vocal concerts.

Drawing from the compositions of Catania’s eminent composer, Vincenzo Bellini, the performances evolve to explore the operatic landscape of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, reflecting Bellini's era. Audiences will be transported through an unforgettable exploration of timeless classics, from Vivaldi and Verdi to Rossini, Puccini, Donizetti, Bizet, and more, embodying the essence of great classical music and Italian opera.

The concerts are set in the notable Church of La Badia of Sant'Agata, which stands adjacent to the cathedral where the legendary Bellini is entombed. More than just a venue, The Church of La Badia of Sant'Agata boasts impeccably maintained interiors and features a visitable panoramic terrace. Accessible by an internal elevator, the terrace offers a breathtaking view of the magnificent cityscape of Catania.
