In this highly‐anticipated concert, hear the mellifluous sounds of classical music by Franz Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Maurice Ravel at Bologna's treasured and world‐renowned Chiostro della Basilica di Santo Stefano.
The name Trio Nebelmeer is inspired by the Romantic myth of the “wanderer in the mist,” particularly a famous painting by Caspar David Friedrich. Founded in 2019 by three young French musicians, the trio won the “Premio Trio di Trieste” last year and has pursued a rigorous course of study under the guidance of renowned chamber ensembles such as the Trio Wanderer, the Modigliani Quartet, and the Diotima Quartet. As a result, they have developed a repertoire focused on piano trio compositions from the 19th and early 20th centuries. In their program, they pair Schubert and Mendelssohn with the neoclassical modernism of Ravel’s Trio.
