Immerse yourself in the stunning architecture of Bologna's breathtaking Chiostro della Basilica di Santo Stefano. The 'school' of Raina Kabaivanska is undoubtedly one of the most renowned in Europe. For a quarter of a century, the great Bulgarian soprano has devoted herself passionately to nurturing new talents. Two of her finest students are the stars of the traditional opera gala at the Bologna Festival: Iolanda Massimo, an alumna of the Perosi Conservatory in Campobasso, already on the path to a successful professional career, and Giuseppe Michelangelo Infantino, a winner of various competitions and a familiar face in numerous theaters. Accompanied by pianist Paolo Andreoli, the two artists will perform some classic pieces from 19th‐century Italian opera.
