Piano: Krystian Zimerman

Polish born pianist Krystian Zimerman became, at the age of 18,  the youngest ever winner of the prestigious Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, and was then catapulted into the forefront of the international music world. He has worked with many great musicians including Rubinstein, Bernstein, and Karajan, all of whom were very influential in his career. Mr. Zimerman has a very meticulous attitude to recording and a very broad repertoire. Many of his discs have won prizes, including the Gramophone Award, the grand Prix du Disque and the Diapason D'Or. Currently Mr. Zimerman prefers to concentrate on solo recitals, bringing his own specially prepared piano and keyboards personally to every concert.
