Oyster Duo: Anna Fedorova & Nicky Schwartz
Amsterdam, De Waalse Kerk
About the Event
The Oyster Duo, consisting of world‐renowned pianist Anna Fedorova and her partner, internationally award‐winning double bassist Nicolas Schwartz, first met on a beach in Brazil.
The two discovered they shared a fascination with the oyster, thus the Oyster Duo was born. Since then, they have conquered international stages at great speed: from the northernmost tip of Europe to Australia, from Ukraine to the U.S., and even the Caribbean, Turkey and Spain.
They are also active at home, having founded the Davidsbündler Music Academy in The Hague. Here young talented musicians are supported, including 15 young Ukrainian pianists on full scholarships.
This dynamic duo does not shy away from experimentation they like to make connections between music, visual art and video, as seen in their video in which they make masked music, enter castles and steal pearls.
