About the Event

Musician, presenter and documentary maker Orville Breeveld has put together a series in which he turns the spotlights on composers with origins in Africa. Tonight, meet Florence Price and Margaret Bonds. ‘Imagine’, says Breeveld, ‘you walk into the Recital Hall and it’s bursting with energy. You see lots of different people, a cross‐section of the city of Amsterdam. I’m taking the audience on a journey, and using as much imagery as possible I tell them about the composers of afro‐origin who have stolen my heart.’
