‘The reincarnation of Liszt’ is one of the press’s descriptions of the young piano virtuoso Alexandre Kantorow. That sets high expectations for his performance of Brahms' grand First Piano Concerto. And the Concerto for Orchestra, one of Bartók’s best‐known works, also promises to be a virtuoso feast for the ears in the hands of chief conductor Lorenzo Viotti.
