Teatro dell'Opera di Roma
The Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, nestled in the heart of Rome, stands as a premier opera venue. Completed in a swift 18 months, it opened its doors in 1880, gracing audiences with Gioachino Rossini's Semiramide. Renowned for its exceptional acoustics, the auditorium was ingeniously designed as a 'resonance chamber', ensuring the optimum sound and visual experience for deep musical engagement. The architectural genius Sfondrini shaped it into a horseshoe configuration, while Annibale Brugnoli enhanced the dome with exquisite frescoes. Inside, the main auditorium boasts three levels of boxes, dual galleries, and an amphitheater, accommodating a total of 2,212 spectators.
