Brass Band Berlin Swinging Brass at the turn of the year
Berlin, Philharmonie Berlin — Kammermusiksaal
About the Event
BRASS BAND BERLIN — This is the famous Berlin mixture of classical music, jazz, swing, show and slapstick in the tradition of the top‐class swing orchestras from the 1930s to the 1940s!
For over 30 years, this troupe of first‐class musicians from the great Berlin orchestras has been notorious for the finest music and witty slapstick: from Bach to the Beatles, the dapper wind soloists keep sold‐out concert halls happy. Popular works from 'Sabre Dance', 'Wagner in Dixieland' and 'Bolero' to 'The Typewriter', 'In the Mood' and 'West Side Story Suite' will be heard in the concert at the Berlin Philharmonie at the turn of the year.
A humorous and charming moderation builds bridges between the styles: Bandleader, singer and comedian Thomas Hoffmann, percussionist in the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin for over 40 years, strains the
the audience's laugh muscles with his inexhaustible arsenal of percussion instruments and show interludes.
BRASS BAND BERLIN — This is music with wit, swing and fun without remorse! Two unique hours full of surprises. Experience an unforgettable evening and start the new year 'swinging'.
