Alexander Kantorow: Great Interpreters at Bologna Festival
About the Event
Alexandre Kantorow's success can be attributed in part to the intuition of René Martin, the innovative mind behind 'La Folle Journée' in Nantes and the Festival de La Roque d'Anthéron. From a family of musicians, Kantorow debuted at just sixteen in Nantes, showcasing his remarkable virtuosity. In 2019, he made history as the first French victor at the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. Kantorow's favored repertoire, evident in his performances at the Bologna Festival, primarily focuses on works from the late 19th century — featuring composers like Brahms, Liszt, Rachmaninov, and Bartók from the early 20th century.
