Academy for Ancient Music Berlin with Voces Suaves
Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin — Großer Saal
About the Event
Experience the enchanting melodies of classical music by luminaries such as Dieterich Buxtehude, Johann Pachelbel, and other pre‐eminent composers at Berlin's celebrated Konzerthaus Berlin. This concert promises a prestigious auditory journey through the ages.
Akamus and the acclaimed Basel‐based Voces Suaves join forces for the first time to bring to light the aural magnificence of the era preceding Johann Sebastian Bach. Their program showcases works from the illustrious Bach lineage and pieces by composers who played pivotal roles in earlier significant positions in Mühlhausen, Weimar, and Leipzig. Notably, the motet “Der Geist hilft unser Schwachheit auf” for double choir will highlight the ensemble's vocal prowess.
