Künstler

Solist: Gabora Gyula

Accomplished violinist and concertmaster, born in 1978, had already won prizes in the  Paganini International Violin Competition and the Joachim International Chamber Music Competition by the age of 26. In the USA he has played as a soloist in the UCLA Symphony Orchestra and the Palpiti Symphony Orchestra, Dallas. Chamber music is very important in his career and he plays in the Budapest Chamber Symphony (Weiner‐Szász Chamber Symphony) established in 1992 to cultivate the best Hungarian tradition in making chamber music.    Gyula Gabora has also performed with the Hungarian Chamber Orchestra, Hungarian Radio Orchestra and the German Chamber Philharmony. In the  Chamber Orchestra of Europe he plays First Violin.  His major recordings include Mendelssohn violin Concerto – Budapest, 1997 and  Piazzola Four Seasons – Los Angeles, 2002.    He has studied under Prof. Boris Kuschnir (Vienna), Prof. Eduard Schmieder (USA – SMU University, Dallas), Józsefné Szász (Budapest) and Miklós Szenthelyi of Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music where Gyula Gabora graduated in 2005.
