The association 'Musik in Brandenburgischen Schlössern e.V.' was founded over 25 years ago and organizes classical concerts, opera events and staged performances in historical venues in Berlin and Brandenburg.

The basic idea of the association is to enrich the cultural landscape in Berlin and Brandenburg, to create special concert experiences for lovers of classical music and to provide artists with a platform to demonstrate their outstanding skills. In addition to top‐class artists, the association places a special focus on outstanding historical buildings as venues for classical music. A special ambience combined with sophisticated classical music — this is the hallmark of the 'Berliner Klassiktage', 'Köpenicker Schlosskonzerte', 'Sommerklassik' and 'Klassikadvent' series, which have now become an integral part of Berlin's cultural calendar. In cooperation with the Berlin State Museums, the world‐famous Bode Museum and Köpenick Palace are the central venues for the concerts, which are complemented by other venues such as the Gothic Hall of the Spandau Citadel, the monastery barn in Zehdenick, the Orangery in Oranienburg Palace Park and the ambience of the royal palace theater in the New Palace.

In addition to the musical direction of 1st Chairman Dr. Roland Treiber, the basis of the almost 25 years of success are the excellently trained musicians who grow under the support of the association. The association is a non‐profit organization and lives above all from the support of the volunteers and artists.
